Cape Town International Boat Show
The Cape Town International Boat Show takes place at the CTICC and at the V&A Waterfront from 10-12 Oct. Adults R 80, Kids R 20.
The Cape Town International Boat Show has grown into the leading marine exhibition showcasing the entire boat and water-sport sector; it is the only show endorsed by the Marine Industry Association of South Africa, the trade’s governing body.
In addition to a variety of land-based exhibits in the CTICC there are a number of large yachts and catamarans on display in a dedicated section of the V&A Waterfront Marina.
South Africa produces some of the finest catamarans in the world and several of these marques will be on display this year. A variety of smaller craft, sailing, stand-up paddle craft, kite surfing, kayaking and related activities will also be on display, and in some cases available for visitors to try out.
This year there will be daily braai demonstrations by celebrity chef Sarel Loots, a SUP competition, schools’ rowing competition, rescue demonstrations by the NSRI and SAPS, the ever-popular Speaker Series covering a variety of water-related topics, and lots more.
