‘The Fascination of Feathered Wildlife’
Join Friends of the KRCA in Kenilworth for an illustrated presentation entitled ‘The Fascination of Feathered Wildlife’ on Tues 11 at 18h45.
The Kenilworth Racecourse Conservation Area is a seasonal wetland, with great views of Table Mountain. It hosts 310 plant species, of which 34 are threatened and one is endemic, and is home to 11 amphibians including the critically endangered Micro Frog and Cape Platanna.
It supports a healthy reptile, bird and small mammal community.
The Friends of the Kenilworth Racecourse Conservation Area invite you to join their last evening talk of the year, ‘The Fascination of Feathered Wildlife’, an illustrated presentation by Heather Howell, a well-known birder, educator, and unstintingly active member of the Cape Bird Club.
You can look forward to an entertaining evening as Heather charmingly shares her extensive knowledge of birds and the environment in an amusing and refreshing manner.
During this talk Heather will share her knowledge of birds and engage the audience with the secrets of their family lives – facts seldom known to those who have not studied these beautiful fragile creatures.
You will have a chance to chat to Heather after the talk while enjoying a cup of tea of coffee.
All are most welcome, as well as friends, family and neighbours.
The proceeds will go towards the Environmental Education arm of the Kenilworth Conservation team.
