Steam train day trip to the Winelands
Travel on a vintage steam train to the Winelands – Distell cellar tour and wine tasting optional. Sat 31. Cost depends on package choice.

Depart from Cape Town at 09h30, departure from Stellenbosch station at 15h00.

Passengers will be free to explore the town of Stellenbosch with its quaint shops and historic buildings.
You could have lunch at one of the many restaurants before returning to the train station.
Time in the town of Stellenbosch is approx three hours.
There is a shuttle service available for a minimal fee from the train station for those who do not wish to walk into town.
Passengers are welcome to take their own snacks or picnics and there is a cash bar on board the train for beverages. Ticket fare includes only the return steam train between Cape Town and Stellenbosch Station.

A tour of the Berg Kelder (Distell) wine museum and shop
A tour of the Berg Kelder (Distell) ceallrs
A five wine tasting
Passengers then have approximately two hours available to visit restaurants or shops in Stellenbosch after the wine tour.
Atlantic Rail does not recommend this wine tour for children as there is very little to entertain them.
