Hillcrest Conservancy is hosting an ‘Alien plants’ Nature Club on Friday 9 at Springside Nature Reserve for 7 -12 year olds. R 80 per child.
Hillcrest Conservancy has pleasure in offering their Nature Club in Springside Nature Reserve for younger members of the community.
The event will take place from 09h00 to 12h00.
The theme is ‘Getting rid of invasive alien plants’ and Springside Nature Reserve is an ideal place for children to spend time outside and get in touch with nature. The morning will be spent learning about invasive alien plants; taking a walk to find and remove them in Springside Nature Reserve; making an invasive alien plant identification collection to take home; and planting an indigenous plant.
Children between the ages of 7 and 12 are allowed to participate at a cost of R 80 per child.
Apples, biscuits and juice will be provided but if you would like to pack an additional healthy snack for mid-morning please do so.
