Palmiet Nature Reserve guided walk
Join an easy guided walk of about two hours through the rugged and scenic Palmiet River valley on Sun 5 at 08h00. No charge. Kids welcome.
The Palmiet Nature Reserve is located in Westville, and features spectacular cliffs, river, forest and grassland.
It is home to over 150 bird and 170 tree species, and boasts 15 km of guided and self-guided trails.
The trail on Sunday 5 February 2017 will be a general interest trail lead by local resident, Jean Senogles, who has a fantastic knowledge of all wildlife, particularly plants, and has a good understanding of the history of this beautiful reserve.
Wear comfortable shoes and take water.
There is no charge for the walk, but donations towards the upkeep of the Reserve are gratefully accepted.
Meet at the main entrance, at the end of Old New Germany Road, at 08h00.
