Honey Badger Club at Johannesburg Zoo

Grade 1-7 kids can join the Zoo’s Honey Badger Club, one Sat a month – next on 11 October at 09h00. First visit is free.

The Honey Badger Club is a programme for Grade 1-7 children to enrich the lives of the Zoo’s animals. It focuses on getting to know the animals, their needs and habits.

Club members get to go where only the keepers go, and get up close with the animals.

The membership fee for one year is R 450, which includes a club T-Shirt. The first visit is free so that children can assess whether they like the activities and wish to join, but to receive their T-shirts, they need to pay the annual fee.

The Club activities happen on Saturday a month, from 09h00 to 14h00 – generally on the second Saturday of each month, except for August 2014, when they will meet on the third Saturday.

There is a year-end party on Saturday 29 November.
