‘Moonlight Maze’ at A-maize-ing Mazes
Dress up, and take your own picnic to a Halloween Moonlight Maze in Honeydew, Fri 31 at 17h15. Adults R 120, Kids R 100. Booking essential.
Honeydew A-maize-ing Mazes were voted ‘2nd best thing to do with Kids(Action)’ in the new Leisure Options readers choice awards magazine.
Their main attraction is a giant maze – either their ‘Elemental maze’, constructed from reeds, which is open from June to December, or their ‘Maize maze’, open from February to June (mielies are a seasonal crop!).
After completion of the maze, there are fun puzzles and smaller mazes available in the courtyard.
The maze takes on a completely different personality at night – where else can you wander around outside in the dark in Johannesburg? For Halloween, there are prizes for the best Halloween costume.
Gates open at 17h15, entry into the maze is at 18h15 (no late entries), and everyone is out of the maze by 20h00. The security gates are closed and locked between 18h15 and 19h45.
Children under 15 need to be accompanied by an adult into the maze.
The venue is not licensed, but there is a coffee shop which is open for cold drinks, teas/coffees and ice creams.
Adults: R 120
Children under 16 years: R 100
The venue does accept debit and credit cards.
Booking is essential, as numbers are limited.
