The Warrior Race – an obstacle race for all ages – 1km for kids (4-13 years), 5km for beginners; also 10km and 20km races. Sat 22/Sun 23.
‘Warrior Bratz’ is a safe enclosure at the Warrior Race venue, where children can play and participate in the ‘Bratz Race’, while their parents take part in the Warrior Race.
There are toilets, water, basic first aid, child minders and a jumping castle in the enclosure. There are also light snacks and facepainting available.
All children pay R 30 entrance fee into the main venue entrance, and R 50 to enter the Bratz Race.
Wristbands are used for access control and to indicate batch times and laps.
4 – 8 years, 9 – 11 years, 12 – 13 years (4 year-olds have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian). Exceptions will be made for siblings in different age categories to be accommodated in the same batch.
Distance of 0.5 – 1km with seven safe, child-friendly obstacles, with no limit on the number of laps. Children will get dirty!
There will be marshals on the route to assist the children.
Parents are welcome to follow their child(ren) on the route for moral support and to take photos.
The Bratz Race is not timed. Each Little Warrior receives a Warrior Military Dog Tag when completing the required number of laps, with the emphasis on participation and perseverance, rather than competition.
For the safety of the children, children will not be permitted to leave the Bratz Zone without their parents. No exceptions will be made in this regard.
