Join Swing City, a Johannesburg-based jazz band whose members include Nathan Ro, Graeme Watkins and Loyiso Bala of the Bala brothers fame, in carol singing as we march into the festive season. Formed this year, Swing City has teamed up with musical director and six-time Naledi Theatre Award nominee, Bryan Schimmel, to take the band to great heights of entertainment and technical mastery. The band’s combined theatre, television and musical experience ensures that their performance will be something spectacular.
There will be entertainment for the whole family with children’s games and Santa giving away gifts.
Swing City will lead the singing of the carols which will include old favourites such as ‘Come, Come Ye Saints’, ‘Joy to the World’, ‘Holy Holy Holy’, ‘Jingle Bells’, ‘O Holy Night’. ‘Praise to the Lord, the Almighty’. ‘Silent Night’, and many more!
The Botanical Society will be selling candles and carols sheets to raise funds.
