It’s the start of a new year and many people set new years resolutions to do many different things – but one of the most important things is to look after your body (after all, you only have one!)>
Join the Cape Town Science Centre as they discover ways to look after our bodies.
Saturday 21 January
11h00 Heartbeat (Entry fee only | ages 6+)
How does your heart work? Learn how to take your own pulse and build a stethoscope.
15h00 Making lemonade (Entry fee only | ages 6+)
Make a nice refreshing drink to keep you hydrated.
Sunday 22 January
11h00 Take a deep breath (Entry fee only | ages 6+)
Testing your lung capacity – discover how long you can hold your breath.
15h00 Heart and lung dissection (Entry fee only | ages 6+)
Demonstration of what a real heart looks like on the inside and how it works.
12h00 and 14h00 Camera Obscura shows (weather-dependent)
Take a tour of the city while standing on one spot – join a Camera Obscura tour for a 360° view of the surrounding area. Listen out for announcements to join the tour.
13h00 Science show
Daily science shows will excite while nurturing awareness that science is a part of our daily lives.
